Was to the Indianapolis, Indiana gun show this past weekend.
Seemed like a lot of reloads a little S&B, and some Agulia.
No W-W, Rem, or Federal.
What is your opinion?

ammo is plentiful online, in stores however its still a mad house.

di cks sporting goods has nothing, except shotgun ammo. but anything else is a hit or miss.
Walmart doesn't sell ammo, neither does any of the chain stores.

In Anchorage, ammo supplies are up, but not yet to the Pre-Obama days.

Reloading supplies are still hard to find.

Wal-Marts around here sell ammo. Lately they are hit or miss as to what they'll have on the shelf. I usually only buy blazer brass .40 for my beretta 96 to practice with from them. Now that I have an M1a NM, I will only be ordering online for all my rifle ammo. That being said... Bass Pro and Cabelas have had Federals "American Eagle" 308 M1A Match for only 14.99 a box. I have yet to get my hands on any but will get some first chance I get. Till then, "Christine" likes Privi match.

Here in Western PA walmart is getting some in little by little. I saw 45 acp $32 for value pack (100) and federal 22 shells 550 per box. 16 boxes gone in two days. Did not see any 308. Primers average $34 a 1000. One gun shop has them the other one has not had any in months. Over all it is alittle better.

I am seeing a little more ammo available and some prices going down. But not much. And not like it use to be and probably never will be again.

I am finding more and more places. Dick's had the bulk boxes of .22 this week and I found 500 rounds of WWB 7.62x51 for $11. So it is starting to show back up.

Sorry about that. It was $11 for a box of 20. For 500 rounds, that would have been a buy. I would have bought all they had for that price.

Academy and Walmart around San Antonio are becoming better stocked. Prices are still elevated, however.

Awards Showcase

My Take On It Is:

AMMO looks like It Is More Available...

Because...It Is Staying on the Shelves Longer...so You See More Of It Then When it was Flying Off The Shelves...

It Is Staying On the Shelves Longer....BECAUSE...to a large degree, the Market is Saturated in terms of people having bought what they thought they just Had To Have...their "Just In Case" Stash! The 'What if they Pass a Law Banning ______'? Crowd...

AND...The Prices Still are No Bargain, Whatsoever!
OK, We may be Past the point where Ammo was being Sold at Gun Shows for Twice what the Dealer Just Bought It for at the Gun Shop...
BUT...There Really are No Good Buys, No Real Sales, No 'Deals'...EXCEPT COMPARED TO... The Highest Price Anybody Can Remember!!!

So...IMHO...That's Why...AMMO...Looks Like...It has become...MORE AVAILABLE!

+1 cavman!

Still depends on what you're loking for too. Three-eighty ACP is still non-existant as far as where I am. I've had a case of 1K on back order with The Sportsman's Guide that gets backed up another month every couple of weeks. Was supposed to be ready to ship on 17 AUG, then 31 AUG, and now still no word.

That being said, .223 rem and .308 win are fairly plentiful, just much more expensive than 18 months ago.

All in all, the situation still s**ks, just not quite as bad, IMO.

Hunting Season

One thing to remember--it's getting on toward hunting season, the merchants usually stock up about now. People are sighting in the old rifle, etc.

Wal Mart near me had Remington for a bit less than $17/20. Nothing to write home about. They had two boxes in a locked cabinet.

Best!
