I bought 400 rds of OFV 75 M80 on stippers in bandoleers. The bandoleers did not have snaps, but rather they have copper wire hooks that secure the flaps. I removed the ammo from the bandos and replaced it in the 50 cal ammo can in which it was shipped. I visually inspected the ammo as it passed through my hands and I found zero bad rounds. All of the bullets were straight and seated to a uniform depth.
I disassembled 10 rounds chosen at random and found the powder to be consistant in texture and volume.
I took 200 rounds to the range and fed it through 3 of my F A Ls and my M1A. The F A Ls had the gas settings set for firing Austrailian ammo and I did not have to adjust the gas settings in order to get reliable functioning of the action.
All of the ammo fired on the first strike and no hangfires were noted. The rifles were benched and bagged and the weather was ideal for ammo testing. The targets were 50 yrds from the bench and the groups averaged 1 1/2 inches in the F A L and about an inch through my scoped M1A.
I was impressed enough with the performance of the ammo that I ordered another 1600 rds before the price increase took place. Since the brass is reloadable, I was essentially getting a .10c reloadable military case with free powder, bullet, and primer. Not a bad deal in my opinion.
