I picked some up at a gun show in Costa Mesa Ca. this weekend. A magnet attracts it, but does anybody know if this is OK in a M1A? Thanks for the help.

Research, still the only game in town......

Since the company is run by the Colombian government and has been a military weapons manufacturer going back to 1908. Plus the main manufacturer of 5.56x45mm NATO and 7.62x51mm NATO rifle cartridges and the IMI Galil rifles in Colombian. I would think that the military surplus ammunition would be fine. I sure would like to see a posting of your first range report here for everyone.

Since it is magnetic, I can't shoot it at my range. I will have to use it for SHTF ammo.

Question f4tweet,

Do they test each round you send on down range before you fire it? If not, I would be testing them out soon . Military surplus ammunition is meant to be fired often.

No, We shoot several miles off the main road at a private club. There is a HIGH fire danger here in Southern California, we self police so there are no fires started at or near the range. That's why no steel, tracer, incendiary etc. It's in our own self interest.

FWIW I have some of their 30-06 that shot fine in a M1. I need to dig it out along with all the other old ammo I have and fire it up someday.
