I bought a bunch of 5.56 WWC at a gun show. Also in the bunch was some ammo on strippers with no maker ID. It has only ( 5.56 and dated 82 ) Nice bright shinney ammo with sealed primers. Any one know who made this stuff and is it good? is it boxer??. Thanks for your help. Regards.

Might be Malyasian. If so, good stuff, but they did have some delinked MG ammo that wasn't so accurate, but can't remember what year it was from (82 or 83). Doubt it's the MG stuff if it was already on strippers. Does it have "MAL" at the 12 o'clock position in faint letters? Is the sealant red?
Right, I was asking about the ammo head stamped "5.56" and dated 82, no other markings. This is nice brass case with light red sealent, flat brass primer, crimped round. Bright and shinny with heat treated neck. Looks like good stuff but I have never seen just (5.56 and date 82 on the head stamp. Was it spook ammo??? Do you guys think this is Malaysian???

Reason: changed wording
Are we sure this is Malaysian ammo with only "5.56" date "82" on the head stamp.???
I would be following along the same line as Trung Si, the man is just not wrong anytime when it comes to brass headstamps.... Oh by the way, Malaysian headstamps are "MAL" with a two numbers for the year, Berdan primed, with a three star crimp with dark red primer sealant.
Smoky! I am sorry but I am stumped on that Ammo, I've gone through all the Information I have and can't find it, It happens sometime, for Example I bought some 7.62X39 Ammo from MGS in Ft Worth a couple of Years ago(200Rounds) real good looking Stuff Headstamped like Yours, was told it was made in Portugal for a South American Country, the Boxes have no markings and You know that Gunshow People or Gunstore Employees hardly ever know what they are talking about, all I know is that it shoots good and is not very accurate so I still don't know what I've got or who made it!
Hey thats ok. I am stumped too. This stuff looks like pretty good ammo so I will try it when i get a chanch. I haven't pulled a bullet to see if it's boxer or berdan but it doesn't have the 3 crimp marks around the primer so maybeeeee I will get lucky.
Thanks very much for your help and best regards,
