Trader Jerry's in Claypool Hill, Va

I went there today to browse and maybe pick up a mag or two for my M1A, not expecting much, they ended up having about 8 M1A mags, black, and wrapped in wax paper. How much I asked...$50/each. They have officially lost their minds. They also have 100's of 7.62x51 and .308 in plastic baggies. How much I asked...it's not for sale b/c it's random surplus rounds so they can't sell it nor will they ever sell it. How much BS is that?

Why would they take the time to bag up loose rounds if they are not for sale? Odd. Do they play with pieces of string in their spare time?

Saw them at the Dulles Gun Show

They were the only guys there selling M1As.

Maybe if they make most their money at Gun Shows they know some schmuck will pay what ever they ask sooner or later.

Haha, that's a good one about the admission fee. I bought my XD45 from them at the Roanoke gun show last year and they seemed really nice and reasonable. But I just couldn't believe the crap I got at the Claypool store- they have 2 stores in Va. I mean $50 for crap mags, and not for sale, yet displayed ammo. I'm not talking about two baggies of ammo, they had a large ammo wooden ammo crate that had to have at least a thousand rounds in it. I was disappointed to say the least. They did have 2 500rnd cases of Federal XM7.62 I think for $15/20rnds...is that a decent price?

Trader Jerry's

They also show up at all the Richmond area gunshows. That's why I go tot he shows...not so much to find a deal, but to enjoy all the BS they toss out. And Trader Jerry's tosses a lot of BS out.

I had a big problem with them for the longest time after I bought my XD45 from them last year. It came NIB with all the goodies. It had the "Not Legal In California" stickers on it, so it should have 2 13rnds mags in it right? Nope, I get home and find 2 10rnds mags. They replaced the hi cap with the California mags how low is that? Sadly, they're the only decent shop around here except for some really crappy surplus shops and 2 insanely priced gun shops closer. I guess it's worth checking out every once in a while, but I don't think I'll ever buy another weapon from them.
