IMI M80 Bullets ... Have You Loaded Them?

Has anyone loaded the IMI M80 147 gr. bullets from Wideners?

There is a guy that bought a bunch locally, and is parting out his order. I didn't know if they are worth the price considering I can buy Hornady at the same price.

I have found Hornady FMJ's to be the most accurate FMJ's produced, compared to Winchester, Privi, Wideners's "milspec", and General Dynamic. Though I have no experience with IMI, my suggestion is go with HDY if the price is the same. Heck, even if HDY was quite a few cents more, I'd still choose HDY.

Thanks from JEFFJP_N_JJ and Wasted ammo

I agree with Smoothy... get the Hornadys for the same price or even a bit more.

I have experience with the Prvis... they are not the most accurate bullet around. I'm trying to get rid of 2K of them right now (by firing them... not selling) but I won't buy any more. Winchesters have been good for me, too. I don't know about the IMI's, but my default setting is to buy American if I can, and both my Socom and my Savage bolt gun like the Hornadys.

I have set myself on buying the Hornady 150's for my just shoot ammo... They seem fine to me and I agree; first buy American!

IMHO... you can get Nosler 168gr Blems. for the same price... I would expect even the blems to shoot better then the IMI bullets.

"Blems; Cosmetic Blemishes: Minor discoloration/oxidation of product or scratches on product. These blemishes will not affect performance."

Nosler, either "blems" or "over-runs" is all I shoot now for XTC and NRA Midrange. Match performance at Hornady FMJ prices.
