I think one of those would be a worthy range asset, from a safety & convenience aspect & all that. I just need to convince my boss & I suppose the chain of command of this.

One of the regulars at the range shot his Chrony last week. I've grazed the sunshade rods on mine before, but he nailed his dead center. With his first shot. & it wasn't the first Chrony he's killed.

I have one and I must admit that they take a little time learning to use. There a great Youtube video that helps teach people like me the "ins and outs" of things. I really like mine and am happy that I have it.

I ran into a problem the other day where it did not read the shot. We were shooting a SBR in 300 Blackout. I had the unit was set on rifle, and it would not read. I called customer service and they told me to put it on pistol. I did this and it started reading. Some people also buy the remote "mic" to pick up guns using suppressors or .22's. Another suggestion is to pick up a remote battery pack, as these units do use a lot of juice, and you can really go through some batteries. I also use a toothpick or straw to put in the sight groove on the unit to make sure the unit is pointed towards the target.

All in all a great unit, and congratulations on the purchase.

nfle that is a great looking solid tripod you have.

It is programable to measure speed of just about anything. Slingshot should not be a problem. There is a setting for arrows. The others you will have to wing it Phil.

The battery pack came along with it for ordering from the Company.
I bought the padded case and bench stand. The tripod is a Leupold. I bought two of them 20 years ago for spotting scopes and they have worked out nicely.
So far, I am loving the thing.
