Odd that the packaging is identical to all of the Berdan primed Hirt that's been available at various places; seems like a lot of the Boxer I've seen has been in different packaging. I wonder if any of that that has been sold as Berdan, isn't?

For a complete newbie.... how does this stuff compare to M80 accuracy-wise? Are both good plinking ammo or would you expect this stuff to be more accurate?

Thats $0.55 shipped. I've been getting berdan primed late 70's from Sportsmansguide for .49 cpr; goes on sale with free shipping every couple weeks. I don't have a chrono but it shoots the same at 100 yards as the Walmart ZQI or whatever its called stuff.

I purchased some hirt a while back, it was packaged in the same crate 720 rounds except there were two 360 round green vinyl battle packs instead of three 240 round battle packs. They are the same ammo both manufactured at the same plant.

I don't reload it anyway I give it to a friend. The crate is worth .01 a round to me. I like the idea of having a crate or 2 of ammo stashed.

Hello, Hey Shooter. I also got that email this morning.
But it's .55 with the 25.00 shipping fees. But, it's nice to see you're pushing the boxer primed Hirts now. A reloaders dream come true, good ammo and brass to boot..
Edit: Wasted Ammo, I could be your friend...

Buy 2 crates, like I did, and the freight drops to $43...

Thanks, Shooter, I've been looking for '80's Hirt for a month or more.

That's what I mean; most of the Boxer I've seen has been in the vinyl battle packs, either 200 round or 360 round. I'll keep that 1980 date in mind, good info though I'm not real concerned with whether Boxer or Berdan. SG is great, just kind of stinks for us Oklahomans as we also get sales tax on top of the shipping (which Sam cuts in half to help soften the blow).
