Very interesting phenomenon.

It appears to happen under a variety of conditions... not just from ammo.

Did the 50-cal cause the gelatin to reach its auto ignition temperature?

Looks to me like the .50 was HE/incendiary round.

I have a custom Mauser 98 in .338-06 and love the performance. It whacks a deer and down it goes. Can't wait to try it on elk, some day.

Cool vid. It seems as though that 308 and 338 are equal

Based on the calibers chosen in the video, I suspect it comes out of Scandinavia. And they do like to market that 50 cal multipurpose round.

It looks like the 338 loses energ in the first third, the 308 gains energy after the first third, and the 50 JUST LIGHTS THAT STUFF UP.

With the amount of time and effort I've spent learning about this phenomenon (about 6 minutes on google), that looks to me like an explosive round.

Before anyone starts to argue with me, you better have at least 7 minutes of research under your belt.

Yep.
