Anyone have any word on this ammo? I am really on the fence on getting a case of this or ZQI.

I will be trying it this weekend, so if you can wait.... I would.

My M21 doesn't like ZQI.... YMMV.

I will say .... it sure is clean dang good looking ammo.

I am going to check the loaded rounds tonight for various measurements. ( The OCD in me )... charge weight, concentricity, bullet weights etc.

Thanks from TheShooter

Been thinking the same thing since I got my email notice from SGAmmo . I noticed that SG extended their shipping times for ammo until next Tuesday due to high demand for all ammo . I would not think that the 2016 Men ammo would present a problem with the M1A but my opinion is only a uneducated guess and will await bfoosh006's review who will be shooting some of this .

I'll be trying it out. Got mine in. If it shoots as good as it looks I'll be pleased

Measurements....averages of 20 rounds

Neck concentricity.... MEN, .0085 / 168gr FGMM, .0035 / XM118LR, .0040
FGMM had the least variance ( no surprise ) XM118LR was surprisingly low from high to low.... MEN was kind of split... half was under .0050 and then you'd get a real high number...

Bullet runout............MEN, .0070 / 168gr FGMM, .0025 / XM118LR, .0035
Runout was the same as previous.

Ball powder, 42.3 gr.... spread of .4 gr.

Case sealed at Non-crimped primer, case neck sealed with asphaltum... but strangely half way down the neck, and when pulling the bullets, No sealant was on the bullets.

Case weight.....180.8gr .... cases extremely clean.

Bullet weight 146.8 .... bullets extremely clean.... very uniform bases !

Bottom line for me....If it shoots half as good as it looks.... I will be very happy.

Thanks from nf1e, m14nm, TheShooter and 1 others

Shot some with my PTR G3 clone today. 3 3/4" with iron sights at 100. Forward rest only. A couple of flyers which were my fault. You younger guys with scoped match rifles should easily shoot sub 2" groups. My group was well within specs for military ammo in the PTR.

Thanks from m14nm

100yd, benched, scoped, bagged front and rear, 22" SAI M1A

For comparision... 168gr FGMM

XM118LR......

2016 MEN, Unsorted....

2016 MEN also Unsorted...

And now for the interesting group.... I sorted these 2016 MEN, dependent on the amount of runout....

Overall.... I am happy. The 2016 MEN is more accurate then MagTech, ZQI, and Perfecta... for about the same price.

The MEN is shockingly clean, and IMHO well worth the money.

I will pursue the "Runout" angle some more, I feel it would be worth the effort.

I had inconclusive results. It shoots very clean, extracts and feeds great. My Ruger Gunsite, 18in rifle hates it. But, it apparently hates all things 147gr FMJ. LC, Zqi, and MEN shoot patterns. This is a 1 1/4in gun for 5 shots with PMC 168 smk.
Sai Scout, one five shot group had 3 shots almost in the same hole, 2 fliers, two different directions. 2 more groups had some close, then fliers.
PMC 168's shot more consistently, but not great.
Sorry I don't have any useful results. If my Ruger liked it I could at least draw some conclusion.

Nice shooting bfoosh. The unsorted groups are similar to my FAL. This ammo is worth it especially with the nice heavy brass. Better hurry only 7 cases left.

Would someone please explain "runout". I am a new reloader, and have wondered what that is exactly. Never heard of it before a few months ago.
