I do have a very good conversion someone made from two regular magazines. the welding is excellent and the thing holds 36 rounds and feeds relaibly. However, I don't want to trash perfctly good 20 round magazines and duplicating the flat weld on the example I have would be difficult.
Additionally, are the ISraeli made, IIRC, thermomold magazines any good? Right now I have a mixture of GI, and a few aftermarket made magazines, and the 36 rounder, but with a recent purchase of a second M1-A I don;t now have enough.
Saw 30 rounders at the local gun show yesterday but were the poorest quality I've ever seen. No markings on them at all.
