Palametto State Armory has FREE SHIPPING!!!

Went on to palamettostatearmory.com just the other day and bought 800 rounds of 5.56 55gr, and 300 rounds of federals made for M1A 7.62 and guess what! Free shipping on all of it!! Dont know how long it will last but right now they have free shipping on everything. The federal made for M1A was $16 a box and the 5.56 55gr federal was like $7 a box i think. Pretty good prices compared to most all of the other ammo sites. Plus free shipping means i didnt have to pay and extra 30-40 dollars. so go check it out and buy some ammo!

I've never bought ammo online and had it shipped. I would imagine its expensive if bought in bulk. This is probably a good savings.

Palmetto has been offering free shipping most of the summer. They have had variuos ammo available then not, then available again (Lake City surplus, for example). Good prices, too.

Thanks for the heads up Robert. On thing about shipping is that it is really never FREE. It is already added into the price of the ammo. One advantage though is that you already know what this ammo cost delivered to your door before it is shipped. Some other vendors will have a lower price for the same ammo, but they make it up by charging a excessive shipping and handling fee. Most times you don't know what this fee is till it's delivered and charged to your CC. The average weight for 1K of .308(GGG) is around 60lbs. One vendor I've used several times had an out the warehouse price of $500 for 1K, the price for the same case w/free shipping was $530. This means that $30 is tacked on the price for S&H. Actually $30 isn't a bad price for shipping 60lbs anywhere in the continental US. I do like to deal with a vendor that is upfront to me with the total costs involved before I buy it. It does pay to look up the shipping rates for different weights being shipped from one zone to another. The handling charge is another matter. dozier

Yea it made me happy, some other sites had the fed m1a 7.62 ammo for around $17 a box and you had to pay for shipping too. I usually surf the ammo sites looking for good deals. If you were to look at my bookmarks youd see like 20 bookmarks dedicated to different ammo sites haha. I always buy online also just because the local stores charge alot. The were charging 8.50 a box for 5.56 55gr and $10 for the 62gr green tip... kinda a rip off. And they wanted $20 a box for the M1A ammo. I havnt got into loading for the .308 or .223 but i do load for my .45acp, 7mm mag and 7m rem, and .38/.357. Ill probaly get a die set for the .223 and .308 someday soon. Then ill mess around with loads and make something super accurate.

Nice rig, I could use something like that to get rid of the opassums, racoons, and armadillos that I am plaged with around here.

Yes and a lot of retail stores do not give you a discount for buying in bulk lots. dozier

Not a Duck

I have a rubber duck M14, But I don't have a rubber duck M16.....
The upper is off of a early colt 602 gun. The lower receiver is a early SGW(Oly) made one that was made for Palmetto Armory in 1978 or so. The colt's patent was not quite over yet. (Semi-Auto design was good for 21 years - Introduced in 1963, and it ran out in 1984 or 1985) That is why we have "clone" AR-15 guns out there right now.
I am pretty sure that they never made any "non-forward bolt assist" rubber ducks. All the rubber duck M16's that I have seen had forward bolt assists.
