Wideners now carrying CMI 20rd mags

I just got the e-mail notification. $25 each.

http://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.c...dir=625%7C1187

Just an FYI. If you look under M14/M1A mags, you won't see them. Click on "Specials" and it's at the very bottom of the page.

Tony.

Widener's is good. Choice is good.

But I would point out that 44Mag.com is a Site Sponsor here, and sells the same mags for $26 With NO Shipping Charge!

Yup, that's true and I agree but enough people here order other equipment from Wideners so if they want, they can just throw in an extra mag with their order if they wish. ;)

Or they can roll in some mags when they order their new LRB from them.

Tony.

Thanks from CAVman

I don't want to hijack the thread, but what are the reviews on the 25rd CMI mags?

I have 5. They work fine except for the CMI follower that doesn't always fully actuate the bolt catch, but that seems to be common.

When they first came out, CMI 25 round mags were shipped with the 20-round spring with 8 coils. At some point they switched to 9-coil springs for functioning reliability. If you get used 25 rounders, count the coils in the spring.

Im one of those who have used wideners for yrs.Next order will likely include
couple more CMI mags.
BUT,as ive never used my still shrink wrapped CMI 20rders and I must assume the follower's are identical from 20-25 rds. Is it Just lack of spring pressure that causes a failure of the bolt catch?
Or does the follower contribute? To this point ive only used 2-chin/ 5-taiwan 57's with a perfect
record of proper functioning.Something I should verify with the CMI's.I had always ASS umed to be good to go.
