| Winchester 308??
Hi,
What is the group opinion of the Winchester 308 fmj bt 147 gr. ammo? Is there a probability of corrosion in the boxes like the MEN/DAG? Or, can I just leave it in the sealed plastic battle pak?
Thanks

| Research, still the only game in town anymore...
Are you talking about the Serbia Prvi Partizan Winchester .308 from around ~2001, a 200 battlepack 145 grain? I remember that Ammunition To Go was selling it for years, that one Redraider?
I have not heard of an incident of it being bad in anyway, or posted here. But it would be interesting to the group here to hear from you on the subject matter. |

I wasn't aware that the Winchester 147gr FMJ ammo was ever packaged in plastic battle packs. Are you referring to some other ammo? Normally when somebody refers to Winchester 147gr FMJ I assume they are talking about Winchester's USA line of ammo, product number Q3130. |

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. I am holding in my hands, 1 heavy, clear plastic, sealed bag of 10 white boxes of "308 Winchester FMJ BT 145 gr. ammo. It also says Lot PPU 1102-04. There is nothing else on these boxes. Really curious about it before I open it up. Any more ideas?
Thanks again

Thanks againRedraider | The clear plastic bag is the give away. It's Serbia Prvi Partizan newer manufactured ammunition. The nny are the headstamp for Partizan-Namenska Proizvodnja, Titovo, Uzice 31000, in old Yugoslavia now Serbia. These are actually Cyrillic letters equal to "PPU in the Western alphabet. No one has eve come forward with an issue with this newer ammunition. |

I guess that the boxes don't look like the ones I posted but more like these? |

Well, now I understand...sometimes I'm not too fast ya' know.
I haven't heard any bad things about ammo like that at my range. In fact, Privi ammo usually has a pretty good reputation all the way around, quality and performance.

I love PRVI!
I shoot their .303 British 174 gr. FMJ exclusively and then I reload it to MK7 specs.
Had some of their 30.06 and it actually calibrated correctly with my 1917's sights which is something no Domestic ammo other than surplus has done yet.
Their brass is just excellent and their projectiles are the correct diameter for the caliber.
I would assume their .308 would be of high quality also.
