Anyone buy .308 from Southern Ohio Gun recently?

Hello everyone,
I'm new here. I've been buying Garands from the CMP for a while now and recently bought a Springfield Armory Standard M1A. I have a friend who gave me a flyer from Southern Ohio Guns and can order ammo from them. They have a couple of different kinds, the German DAG battle packs and .308 in 75 round bandoliers (both non-corrosive and brass cased). I tried doing a search and couldn't come up with an answer, so sorry if this has been asked before. Does anyone have experience with either of these from S.O.G.? I can't find the county of origin for the ammo in bandoliers, it was produced in the 90's and looks like a better deal. Thanks

I recently purchased the ammo in bandoleers, it is British manufacture Radway Green ammo. It gives me 2 to 2 1/2 in. 100 yd. groups benchrested with a std. M1A. I've never shot the DAG ammo so I can't give you a comparison of the two maybe others can. The ammo I got is bright and shiny with no corrosion on the cases and is berdan primed. This was my first purchase from SOG, customer service and delivery time were both good.
Congratulations on the new rifle purchase hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. Welcome to the site also theres alot of good information to be found here.

I bought some british surplus .303 from them awhile back, customer service was good and I would buy from them again. Sorry I don't have experience with their .308.

They are at least to me a Strange outfit. Being from the Leftist State. To look at /hold ammo / firearm you need to show a FOID card. Firearm owner identification , state issued.
They did not want that. They wanted my drivers license. Ok whatever. My RG came in 3 days. Very well pleased. A LITTLE dismayed but pleased
All other Online Ammo Orders Require Copy of my Foid

I got some Radway Green from SOG last week. Looks like their out of it now. They still have Dag/Men If you want to take a chance on some of it being corroded. Wideners has RG.

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going with the Portugese ammo from Samco to start out. Our local gun store has the Sellier Czech ammo but I noticed that stuff is corrosive so I'm avoiding it. It looks like people like the Pvi Partisan stuff too, and I've had good luck with their .30 carbine ammo, so I might order some of that as well.

Do a "search" and you'll find there may be some corrosion issues with DAG.

In lieu of RG, I would recommend the 145grn Prvi, it's good stuff, plus you get reloadable brass to load or trade...

I've ordered 2 cases of the RG from SOG... I'm sorry it's gone, hopefully it's only temporary.

Ordered some of the Radway Green from Wideners. Thanks for the link.

Also ordered a couple CMI mags from 44mag.

I can't wait to shoot this rifle for the first time.
