looking for the best bullet/powder/brass combo

Hey all im sure that there is a hundred of these questions on here but hell with it. Im looking for a bullet brass and powder combo that has worked well for people. it doesnt matter if its mil surp or anything i have a pretty good reach for most supplies thanks

I'm assuming you are talking 7.62mm/.308? And what exactly are you shooting these things out of?

There are a number of questions you have to ask... primarily the purpose. Hunting? Target? Long-range?

Rifle, barrel length, and twist rate also are important variables. Even climate matters: Hodgdon 4895 may be a little less sensitive to temperature changes than IMR 4895.

yeah sorry i guess i left out some of the important things like cal lol. yes 7.62 out of a new sai scout squad in a sage ebr chassis. mostly target

Then one of the generic target loads of a 168grn Sierra or Nosler BTHP over IMR4895/H4895/Varget/Rl15/W748 et al. Keep your brass trimmed down, seat your primers below flush and don't try to hot-rod your loads and you will be fine.
