That is the beauty of it, all Air Force aircraft are land based and no Navy allowed.

We didn't have a carrier with a golf course back in 69 however, while I was doing time at Kadena AB in Okinawa we did have an SR71 slide off 'runway right' and badly injure a couple of the 376 OMS prize polo ponies. Lucky for me it wasn't one of mine. That night we all went downtown to Gate 2 street to drink the sound of screaming ponies out of our minds. The Air Force was some tough duty, sometimes I don't know how I hung in there.
