What Jet is this?

So I'm bored at work and normally this leads me to google maps to see what I can see. Normally it consists of naval bases to see what is there and then to air bases for the same thing, however after coming over Edwards I saw this and I was like WTF is this. Can anyone identify this aircraft?

It looks like the General Dynamics F-16XL.

That's pretty interesting. I've never seen one of these before. It was obviously older because it was parked by those old F18s. Thanks for the info.

Pretty cool and I'd never, ever guessed that the F-16 had a delta wing version.

Figure I'll make things easy for the NSA since I look across the street and see their new data center here in Utah.

You could just email them the pics you have and also take pics of their building and send those too.

Thanks from WaM14gunner

Sent the picture to my step-son.

He was an image analyst in the Army for 8 years.

Spent all but his first year stationed on Air Force bases even though he was Army.

He liked being on the AF bases because the food was better.

He always wondered about the major influx of photos he had to process every time the space shuttle came back, since the shuttle program was no longer DOD.

Still waiting for a reply.
