America: We made pigs fly.

By far my favorite aircraft. Some say it's ugly, but I think it's beautiful.

Thanks from art7 and GARRARD

Its the perfect aswer to an asymetric warfare. I am a fan of the "form follows function" rule. The A10 performes the perfect function.

It may not be pretty, but it packs one hell of a punch.

There is nothing like the sound of that Vulcan Cannon overhead sawing down a hardened target that has had your a$$ pinned down, music to your ears. LOVE THE WARTHOG!!! I always liked to see them overhead when I was out in Afghanistan, it was like having a warm blanket covering you.

If I flew, that would be the aircraft of choice.

Yup.. I had to go on and do it...
The rifling grooves have a really neat pattern and is pretty sharp to the touch.
If I won the lotto... this would be one of'em I would like to pull the trigger....

newnic65,

Used to live a 150yrds. from the red water tower, it was like a front row seat to SANG.

I loved watching those in Germany. The "Thundebrolt II" is one of my favorite airplanes.

Phinehas, I live close to the red tank! You are right when they are flying you kinda just stop and watch your own private air show. Though the A10 kinda sneaks up on ya, the F16's could be heard coming. Back in the 70's when they had F4's, now that was loud when they used burners to get off the ground.

Thanks from Phinehas

I wonder why they are not making these by the bushel basket.

They should be "issued" to the Marine ground and Army ground units so they can control their "own" air cover...
