I use the SR-1 for the 100 yard targets.

It's not exact, but the black portion of service rifle targets is approximately 6 moa at any given distance. The 10 ring is 3 moa and the X is about 1.5 moa. You just multiply these figures by 1 for 100 yds, 2 for 200, 3 for 300, etc. It varies a little at longer distances.

In both CMP and NRA HP matches, at 100 yds. the SR-1, 200 the standard SR, 300 yds the SR-3. SR stands for "Short Range".

For CMP and NRA HP competition the approx size of the aiming black is 6 inch diameter for 100 yards, 12 for 200, 18 for 300, 36 for 600, and 44 for 800/900/1000.

The targets for prone rapid and prone slow have more scoring rings in the black area.

The SR-3 target for 300 yds is a just center put over the standard SR 200 yard target. And as Jay states, the aiming black is expanded, i.e., the 8,9,10 and X rings are black for the SR-3 as opposed to the SR where the black is just 9,10, & X rings.

Past 300 yds, MR targets are in use. MR stands for Medium Range and encompass both the 500 and 600 yd targets. Past 600, include the Long Range or LR targets.

Printing your own targets uses a LOT of ink. I wouldn't do it if I had to pay for the ink ....

"Printing your own targets uses a LOT of ink. I wouldn't do it if I had to pay for the ink ...." Roger that.

I used to print just a skinny circle/s on the heavy cover paper, and fill in the center with a simple paint mask and black spray paint.
