Getting the best out of a M14 or M1A

Look guys, if you want to know all the USMTU tricks or just how to tune an M14 or M1A, say so. I've been doing it since 75. I first shot the M14 in 1969. It will be coming in print and to put it mildly, I've been working on both 14s and M1As since the mid 70's. I did take a break after the turn of the Century, but I've already got three rifles scheduled after I move back east and I hear that more are coming. Your call. I have something I need to finish and get to print. But I do check in once a week as I have the time. *IF* the moderators have any issue with what I'm posting, please advise and I sure as heck wise they'd get in touch with me since I do have a specific issue to discuss with them.

PS, never shot less then 80% of score in a PALMA match, even with the original USGI NM barrel. Iron sights were NM, scope was a Leopold mounted on a Griffin and Howe Claw hook mount. I loved the thing.

To this date, you have informed us about your high qualifications as a future Author and vast experience with the M14/M1A, This Book, soon to be available, covering the M14/M1A in total. In addition, we now learn that this Book will address and resolve all the reloading issues for the M1A in competition ranging out to 1,000 yards. I look forward to all this information, but to be frank, there are several questions that bother me at this point.

One of the questions is: Why are you reluctant to provide your name? I ask this because your shooting experiences coincide with mine, same area, same shooters same time frame same equipment.. So far we have Rojkoh, So Cal and BK. and a good deal of aggrandizement..

My second question is: You have stated, more than several times, the virtues of the A&R Sales rifle, which was produced in California. Why would anyone invest in a Book written by an individual that holds such a position and admits it? The A&R Sales Receiver is consider by informed people to have been a dismal failure. How do you support this high opinion?

My last question is: You have mentioned several outstanding High Power shooter form that period, several of which are my personal friends. I have contacted them, and to the person, they have never heard of anyone that goes by ROJKOH or BK..

My apologies if these questions are offensive. If you hope to impress the good people on this Forum and reap the profits from this Book it will be a mistake to assume they are uniformed.

Best regards, Art Luppino
Questions for ROJKOH--BK.

Hmmm. What's that odor???

I decided last year to become a bit of a new student of the M1A, with a goal, in perhaps 5 or so years, of being truly capable of working on these rifles in a knowledgeable way. So far, I've invested in a lot of tools and in thoughtful consideration of my first SAI NM reference rifle. More to come, obviously. I was also somewhat dismayed, initially, at the apparent complexity and somewhat mystical nature of this platform, but you just have to persist, right guys?

I've also been a gunsmith for well over 25 years but I would never post such a self-aggrandizing thread as this. Unless, of course, I already had a book out that had been well "vetted" by the true experts here and elsewhere, or was quietly known to others for the quality of my work on a specific platform.

So, in essence, I think you should perhaps put up or fess up. Your general tone is quite assumptive and arrogant especially for a forum full of rather mature, experienced and opinionated readers, but then perhaps that's just my "read"? Anyone else?

Or perhaps the mods here already know you personally, and approve of this message, as Newt might say... . In which case, my apologies, but still... that tone...

Is there an issue with you perhaps being a sponsoring advertiser here? What's your company name, and where are you located? Hey: "I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours!" (actually, if you can read, it's already right there!)

BTW, true to his usual fine form, Art is far more civil and polite that I choose to be here. I've seen too many pikers I suppose! I'll happily be the potential bad guy here. Mods, delete me here if you need to.

Otherwise... Can I check out your amazing new book @ Amazon? I'm all ears and learning!

You do know we have a few really good NM armorers on this site who share their knowledge quite frequently; right? We could always use another but the ones who are here are well known and reputable. Who are you? We would all like to know.

I don 't care how good you think you are or may actually be with any platform. With an attitude like you have conveyed, I would and am telling you to pound sand.

If you would like to reign in the attitude and be a lot more forth comeing about you experiences, training and background. You may get a little further in your endevors that brought you to this board.

Thanks from Beavis1971 and Coltfan
