Ill bite FWIW.First I wouldnt judge accuracy by a Mini 14,at least judging by the accuracy exhibited by my long ago sold(181) Mini. What is meant by NM parts?
Id save my $ by not cryoing the rifle bbl/parts just yet I think there are more important areas to address first off.Ones I learned by reading and searching this forum!!
Id look to your trigger pull whether a trigger job might be of benefit, then shimming the Gas cylinder. An inexpensive -simple job but one that pays dividends on alot of rifles, proper GI issue sling used correctly will help accuracy in field conditions.
After that if the rifle still didnt shoot as well as youd like, attention to the forend to ensure adequate tension, glass bedding the rifle, unitizing the Gas cylinder.NM gas piston,NM spring guide, maybe a better bbl, the sky or pocketbook is the limit with these rifles.A good bet is to check the services offered as package deals by forum advertising armorers/smiths.
If you get the M1A bug youll find good, is never quite good enough and 1 M1A is NEVER enough.LOL
One afterthought mostly unrelated to accuracy is that unbearable rubber recoil pad.Just doesnt fit the image of a mil rifle and if you have a GI synthetic stock the issue steel buttplate is a simple screw on job, gives a nice place for an issue cleaning kit or...
